In 2018, alongside my sister Charlotte Scrafton, I co-founded Rumourheard, a Leeds-based brand. Through a community art space equipped with a laser cutter, I transformed Perspex off cuts into unique beads for my earrings. The spark for this venture ignited during a conversation with my sister, a dedicated jewelry maker. Combining my design expertise with her craftsmanship, we birthed a brand that fills us with pride.

As a designer, sustainability is paramount to me. To minimise waste, I repurposed off cuts from local businesses into jewelry pieces. Exploring diverse shapes and colour blends, I crafted innovative, statement earrings. Leveraging my passion for photography, I captured product shots and orchestrated editorial photoshoots, bolstering our online presence. The moniker “Rumourheard” draws from my musical fervour, inspired by the iconic Stevie Nicks. Our vivid palette pays homage to the artist’s legacy and the era that birthed her music.

Rumourheard stands as a testament to our craftsmanship, handcrafted proudly in the UK.
